Yoslai De La Rosa was born August 8th 1981 in Matanzas, Cuba with music in his veins. Hot Latin dance moves, and a never ending source of energy De La Rosa has been entertaining Cuban and Latin Music Lovers since 1999.
As Composer, Singer and Manager of the bands Onda Esclusiva, Clon Latino & El Clon. He began by releasing his first album “Cosas Del Amor” recorded by Saema Records and produced by Jorge Luis Montaña of which 8 out of the 10 songs on the album were written and composed by De La Rosa himself.
In 2004 he released his second album “Resaltando Cubania”. His hit single A Caballo received incredible reviews and quickly became not only a National hit, but an International hit as well. Performing on Cuba’s most popular shows such as, Quedate Conmigo, CH TV, TV Yumury, Tele Cristal, etc…In August of the same year he performed and was interviewed by Cuba’s top music TV show Super 12. Simultaneously the rest of the album was released and played on Cuba’s top stations Radio 26, Matanzas and Radio Metropolitana, Ciudad de la Habana. With two of the albums most popular hits Bandolera and Te Gusta El Baile he was able to remain on Cuba’s Top 40 List for over 6 months and ended the year with Bandolera as number 10 and Te Gusta El Baile as number 22 on Cuba’s best Best Hits of 2004.
Over the years he toured all over Cuba performing in Festivals, Public Events, Resorts, and Outdoors Concerts for audiences of over 20,000 fans.
With his unique style De La Rosa creates a fusion mix of Cuban & Caribbean rhythms. Playing everything from Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Reggaeton & Dance. His fan base had grown from local Cubans to WorldWide. And in 2009 he ventured out of Cuba and settled in Canada.
In October 2010 he released his first solo Canadian album…Guarachando A Lo Cubano which was followed by a release party in Winnipeg, MB with a turn out of over 300 Canadian fans. The album is a fusion of salsa with a fresh, modern take to it. The album was produced by Bayron Ramos (2 time Latin Grammy nominee) of BMB Bros Studios in Miami FL.
Having received great reviews on his album,where 2 of his songs hit the top 10 Salsa Charts in both Germany and the UK. 2011 was one of his busiest years yet. Playing all over Manitoba at venues such as Club Regent Casino, The Republic, X-Cues Fiesta Tropical as well as festivals such as Winnipeg Jazz Festival, Canada Day Celebrations at The Lyric Theatre, The Corydon Summer Concert Series, Folklorama Kick Off, Folklorama, Morden Corn and Apple Festival and many, many more.
2012 continued to be a busier year. He released his first English Single “What About You” featuring Stefanie Giasson which can be found on Itunes. The single was such a hit that he released a second English Single called “Show Me What You Got” along with a Video which can be found on YouTube as well as on his website.
With an ever growing fan base he continued playing at many Cultural Events, Festivals, Casinos, Winnipeg 2012 Jazz Festival, NightClubs, etc… Later in the year he began working on his new & latest album “A Mi Manera”.
2013 has started off as an exciting year. With his Canadian fan base growing he has ventured out of Manitoba with performances Calgary and Edmonton. Continuing to play locally as well at various venues within Winnipeg as well at The40 in Brandon,MB.
On April 20, 2013 he relased his latest album “A Mi Manera” with a release party held at Winnipeg’s Hottest NightClub Whiskey Dix. The place was packed, with a sold out show of over 400 local fans showing up. The new album is a hit!
Falling under Cuban Urban Music. It is…quote on quote “Rico Pa Bailar” “ Great to dance to”. Get ready to move your body “Latino Style” Enjoy this fusion of Merengue Electronico,Reggaeton and Dance music. Also included on the album are remix versions of his 2 English Singles “What About You” and “Show Me What You Got” released earlier in 2012.
